Innovation for Development Conference, Paris

TII, the European Association for the Transfer of Technology, Innovation and Industrial Information, is organising its 2007 annual conference in collaboration with UNESCO on the theme of "Innovation for Development".The subject of this year's conference puts the spotlight on what is happening in emerging and developing countries in the field of innovation and technology development.

3 May 2007 - 4 May 2007

Thanks to the close collaboration with UNESCO, the Innovation for Development Conference offers a varied and attractive line-up of speakers, some of whom are experts on innovation from developing and emerging countries and others who have extensive experience of working in such countries in the field of innovation and technology development (corporates, consultancies, NGOs). There will also be presentations by TII members and others of new innovation support models and methods which could be adapted for the benefit of developing and emerging countries' populations.

In this era of globalisation, innovation support practitioners are inevitably looking beyond their traditional markets in Europe and are seeking to forge new business contacts with organisations in Asia, Africa and the Americas in order to apply innovation to addressing some of the world's most challenging problems. B24B has become a new jargon term (meaning 'Business to Four Billion') and is creating an investment flow that is paralleling the S2B ('Science to Business') trend of the 80s and 90s. If you wish to know more about some of the exciting new opportunities that are being created on an international scale, then join us in Paris for the Innovation for Development conference.
