EURAILSPEED'98 - Third World Congress on High Speed Rail
The congress will comprise a series of conferences and debates featuring high level figures from around the world. Topics will focus on the demands and expectations of customers and the responses of high speed rail. Its contribution to resolving the mobility problems facing our society in terms of economic, political and social challenges, as well as its impact on regional and national planning and development will also be discussed.
A series of parallel sessions during the congress will address topics such as:
- High speed rail and transport policy;
- The direct impact of high speed rail;
- Appraisal of high speed rail in Europe and Japan: lessons to be drawn and prospects for the future;
- High speed rail in the transport chain;
- Building customer needs into vehicle and customer design;
- High speed rail: reducing the environmental damage caused by transport;
- Financing options for the future.
The trade fair will feature exhibitions from industrialists, operating companies, service auxiliaries and consultancies, as well as a wide range of institutions, bodies and associations, active in the high speed rail arena.
