Irish National Launch of the Marie Curie Programme in FP7

The Irish National Launch of the Marie Curie Programme in FP7 will take place on 21 May at the Crown Plaza Hotel, Santry, Dublin 9. The event is organised by the Marie Curie Office at the Irish Universities Association in conjunction with the FP7 National Support Structure at Enterprise Ireland.

21 May 2007 - 21 May 2007
Ireland
Over the past few years the European Marie Curie Programme has been hugely beneficial to Universities, Institutes of Technology, Research Organisations and Companies in Ireland. It has supported researchers at all stages of their career, across all disciplines from the Humanities to Food Science. Companies, large and small, have been able to expand their R&D capabilities through strategic partnerships with universities within the Marie Curie Programme.

Over the next seven years there will be over €4.7bn available in the new FP7 'People' (Marie Curie) Programme. While building on the positive experiences of past, the new programme will focus on better structuring, an increased industrial participation and a stronger international dimension.

The conference will look at a number of success stories from FP6, covering various types of Marie Curie funding, and present the exciting new opportunities offered by the programme in FP7. Keynote speaker will be Dius Lennon, Director of the Marie Curie Programme at the European Commission.

A presentations of the Researchers Mobility Office Ireland and a contribution on cross border collaboration by Invest Northern Ireland will round off the programme.

There is no registration fee for this event thanks to the generous sponsorship of the FP7 National Support Structure based at Enterprise Ireland. Places are limited and will be allocated on a "first come, first served" basis.
