ED-Media'99, a conference on educational multimedia, hypermedia and telecommunications, will be held in Seattle, USA, from 19 to 24 June 1999. The conference will be sponsored by the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE) and will serve as a multi-disciplinary forum for the discussion and exchange of information on the research, development and application of all topics related to multimedia, hypermedia and distance education.

The conference organisers are currently seeking the submission of proposals for papers, panels, round-tables, tutorials, workshops and demonstrations for the conference. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Architectures for educational technology systems;
- Authoring tools and methods;
- Computer-mediated communication;
- Cooperative and collaborative learning;
- Design of distance learning;
- Distributed learning environments;
- Evaluation of multimedia/hypermedia systems;
- Methodologies for the development of educational technology systems.
