A one-day conference on the application of multimedia tools for education and professional training in agriculture will be held in Paris, France, on 3 December 1998. The event will be organised by the Association de Coordination Technique Agricole (ACTA), and the Centre Nationale d'Etudes et de Ressources en Technologie Avancée (CNERTA), within the framework of the AGRIMMEDIA project for the promotion of multimedia projects in agriculture and the agro-food sector. This project is supported by the EU's specific RTD programme in the field of Information Technologies (ESPRIT).
The topics to addressed during the conference will include:
- Multimedia products and services for information and training in agriculture;
- The advantages and the most effective utilisation of these tools;
- Changing methods for accessing information and related training;
- Choosing the best services for individual needs;
- Language difficulties with information on the Internet;
- Mailing lists and specialised forums.
