The fourth European telework and tele-activities festival will be held in Serre-Chevalier, France, from 25 to 27 March 1999. The event will be supported by the European Commission, DG XIII, and will be organised by the SYSTEMIA Institute, in cooperation with the Tourism Agency of Serre-Chevalier and the French Teleworking and Tele-activities Association (AFTT).

The conference organisers are currently seeking the submission of papers for presentation during the event, which will be based around a series of lectures and round tables. Particular attention will be paid to the European vision of telework. The following themes are of interest to the conference:

- Telework;
- Tele-activities;
- Telecooperation;
- Distance learning;
- Local development;
- Virtual organisation;
- Cooperative working;
- Social relations;
- Labour law;
- Management at a distance;
- Mobile communications.
