MUSCLE, the Network of Excellence on Multimedia, to demonstrate its showcases at IBC2007

IBC2007, to be held in Amsterdam on 6-11 September, is the leading event for the world of multimedia content creation, management and delivery. It is therefore the first choice place for MUSCLE, the EC-sponsored Network of Excellence (NoE), to demonstrate its showcases featuring highly visual results able to promote the technology towards the Industry.

6 September 2007 - 11 September 2007
Austria
MUSCLE stands for Multimedia Understanding through Semantics, Computation and Learning. As stated by Dr Nozha Boujemaa from INRIA, “The MUSCLE NoE aims at establishing and fostering closer collaboration between research groups in multimedia datamining and machine learning. As such, it integrates the expertise of over forty research groups working on image and video processing, speech and text analysis, statistics and machine learning.”

The New Technology Campus, part of IBC2007, will host MUSCLE together with the NEM platform (Networked and Electronic Media), one of the European Industrial Initiatives. Live, working demonstrations of the technology developed by MUSCLE members will be staged in an informal but informative way.

Scientific coordination of MUSCLE is headed by INRIA while the management of the NoE is ensured by ERCIM, the European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics
