UK Event: European Research Council (ERC) Starting Independent Researcher Grants - Information Event for Stage

The UK Research Office (UKRO) – in its capacity as UK National Contact Point (NCP) for the European Research Council (ERC) – is holding an information event for the applicants (based in the UK or moving to the UK ONLY) invited through to the second stage deadline for the Starting Independent Researcher Grants.

The event will be held on Monday 3rd September 2007, in London.

3 September 2007
United Kingdom

Aim of each session
The aim of each session is to provide participants with an overview of the ERC Second Stage application and peer review process. Participants should gain a deeper understanding of the second stage proposal format as well as the key issues they are required to address in costing, planning and writing their second stage proposal. The event will also cover the interviews, which will form part of the second stage peer review process. Attendance will be free of charge, and allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registration is open online until 5pm on Friday 17 August 2007.

Who should attend?
The event will be aimed at Principal Investigators (PIs) [based in the UK, or moving to the UK ONLY] who submitted an application to the April 2007 ERC Starting Grants deadline, who have passed the first stage of the review process and have been invited to submit a full proposal to the second stage deadline by 17 September this year.
