An important event in the Brussels calendar, engaging leading policymakers, industry experts and Europe’s entrepreneurial stars of the future.

2 October 2007 - 2 October 2007
Austria
An important event in the Brussels calendar, engaging leading policymakers, industry experts and Europe’s entrepreneurial stars of the future.

A new ERA for SME research and innovation is about understanding the challenges and the opportunities that SME entrepreneurs face across Europe while engaging policymakers from the EU, EUREKA member countries and beyond.

A new ERA for SME research and innovation will include presentations from key public and industry figures, followed by a forum where those present will be able to engage, discuss and collaborate on the challenges facing them while exploring ideas on how to accelerate innovation to build a stronger knowledge-based European economy.

A new ERA for SME research and innovation taking place in Brussels on 2 October 2007, sees the launch of the Eurostars Programme, the first support and funding programme specifically dedicated to research- and innovation-performing SMEs. This event hosted by the Slovenian Chairmanship of EUREKA includes keynote speeches by EU Commissioner for Science and Research Janez Potocnik, Slovenian Technology Minister Jure Zupan, and Emmanuel Leprince, chairman of the European Federation of High Tech SMEs.
