Culture and policy in the digital age
The convergence of technologies, communications systems and content in broadcasting and collection institutions, temporal and interactive media, industrial, cultural and policy domains will provide the focus for discussions during the conference. National and international experts in the field of the arts, broadcasting, education, government and industry will be brought together to discuss issues of common concern and to provide settings for effectively engaging the challenges of the digital age in an integrated and strategic way.
The main themes to be addressed during the conference will include:
- Broadcasting and content in and beyond national regulation;
- Intellectual property: managing cultural rights in the digital age;
- Collections and digitisation;
- Art beyond genre: practising and understanding hybridity;
- The local in the global (local practices, identities and governments);
- Information infrastructures and creative infrastructures;
