BioMeetingpoint 2007 - Meetings That Make The Difference
A supplemental benefit for visitors of BIOTECHNICA

Building Technology Partnerships in Europe
10.-11.10.2007 at BIOTECHNICA Hannover, Stand of Baden-Württemberg, Hall 9, Stand D38

The network of Innovation Relay Centres (IRC), represented by HA Hessen Agentur GmbH (IRC Hessen/Rhineland-Palatinate), NBANK Investitions- und Förderbank Niedersachsen GmbH (IRC Lower Saxony/Saxony Anhalt), Steinbeis-Europa-Zentrum (IRC Stuttgart-Erfurt-Zürich) and WTSH Wirtschaftsförderung und Technologietransfer Schleswig-Holstein GmbH (IRC North Germany) are organising an international partnering event during the international fair Biotechnica 2007 in Hannover.

BioMeetingpoint 2007 is this year placed at the stand of BIOPRO Baden-Württemberg. It is the opportunity for companies and research institutes to meet like-minded representatives of Europe’s life sciences community to discuss research and technological developments, products and applications and ways of cooperation. The BioMeetingpoint is supported by the initiative “SMEs go Health”.

Since 1997, the Innovation Relay Centres have organised targeted brokerage events at each BIOTECHNICA fair in Hannover. In 2005, over 200 companies and research institutes from 11 countries presented themselves on the fair. More than 250 profiles were collected and over 250 meetings were scheduled. This years’ partnering event aims at maximising the benefit of the companies’ visit to BIOTECHNICA. IRC technology experts will be present on-site during both days of the partnering event in order to support the entrepreneurs. BioMeetingpoint aims, by this means, at successfully supporting people to get into contact with providers and searchers of technologies all over Europe.

The brokerage event is primarily directed at small and medium sized enterprises (SME), offering and/or using new technologies, at scientists and research institutes offering innovative RTD results, and at start-up companies and investors.

All participants should register on the BioMeetingpoint website prior to the event and present themselves with their technology profile in the online catalogue. It is therefore possible to select interesting partners and request meetings during the event. IRC staff is then planning personalised meeting schedules for each participant.

International panel discussion
Parallel to the brokerage event and in close cooperation with BIOPRO GmbH an international panel discussion with high-ranking speakers to the theme “Research in Life Science – current conditions and perspectives” will take place.
