Microwave and high frequency heating

The seventh international conference on microwave and high frequency heating will be held in Valencia, Spain, from 13 to 17 September 1999, organised by the Microwave Heating Group at the Technical University of Valencia. The aim is to provide a forum for discussion on the latest developments in this field, and to provide an opportunity for industrialists to meet and exchange ideas.

The conference organisers are currently seeking the submission of papers for presentation during the conference on the following topics:

- Theory and nuclear modelling;
- Electrothermal properties of materials;
- Applicator design;
- Power sources and components;
- Waveguide structures;
- Electromagnetic compatibility;
- Processing of materials;
- Environmental considerations in the treatment of waste;
- Microwave chemistry;
- Safety and biological effects;
- Microwave plasma technology;
- Industrial applications.

The conference will also feature two short courses on the principles and applications of radio frequency and microwave heating and electromagnetic compatibility, safety and biological effects.
