International Conference on Sustainable Agri-food Industries: Use of Ozone and Related Oxidants

This event continues a long series of successful conferences organised to provide an international forum for all concerned with fundamental, engineering and applied aspects of oxidation techniques involving ozone and related oxidants. It will take place on 29-31 October, 2007 in Valencia, Spain. Organized by EA3G and hosted by AINIA

29 October 2007 - 31 October 2007
Austria
The issue of sustainable Agri-Food industry looks at interactions between the food processing, the environment and consumers’ demand of fresher and safer products. Each stage of production from crop or livestock to transportation and storage, transformation, has environmental impacts on natural resources while hygiene and safety are of fundamental importance. This event will provide an overview of the current state of knowledge and latest advances regarding the use of Ozone and Related Oxidants for a sustainable Agri-Food Industry, their mechanisms of action, the related engineering aspects and the transfer of sound science into industrial approaches . The Programme will focus on:

• Food Safety & Quality
• Regulatory Status
• Wash water
• Water Use & Reuse
• Air treatment
• Soil treatment
• Current Research
• In-field developments
• Case studies
• System design
• Product developments
• Synergy effects

In this context, this conference will offer a unique opportunity to consider ozone & related oxidants technologies for microbial inactivation, optimization of water use, effluent treatment, water reuse and recycling, reduction of emissions to air, cleaning, food preservation, agricultural use by interfacing with researchers, practitioners,
designers, end-users, experts and equipment suppliers.Detailed programme available in:
