iAFIEL Project

Improvement of the quality of the eLearning Projects

1 February 2007 - 31 July 2008
Spain
The i-AFIEL Project (Innovative Approaches for Full Inclusión in eLearning) focuses on the development of technological tools of eLearning and the effective use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for the complete implementation of the Projects of eLearning European Programme.
The main objective of i-AFIEL is, on one hand, to promote the results of a selection of projects developed by i-AFIEL partners in the field of digital literacy and, on the other hand, to use the criteria from these projects to collate, benchmark and disseminate good practice from the field of e-learning especially for marginalised and hard to reach coimmunities.
To this end i-AFIEL will be:
-Studying and comparing eLearning pedagogical methods, models and approaches, encouraging learners selfconfidence, development and interaction and offering eLearning providers useful tools for their initiatives.
-Developing a more European strategic dimension.
-Creating awareness among adult learners and stakeholders of the real value and meaning of lifelong learning.
-Providing innovative methods, models and approaches to improve eLearning and entry to the digital age
i-AFIEL is addressed to two different groups: eLearning stakeholders and learners. The first target group will learn to improve their work tools through digital technology, and the second group will find easier access to learning through to the implementation of new methods of eLearning.
The i-AFIEL Project is led by the Valencian Vice Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Society (Spain) Its partners are the Technology Society Observatory of Valencian Region (Observatorio de la Sociedad Tecnológica de la Comunidad Valenciana) a subsidiary of the Valencian Foundation Office for the Information Society (Fundación Oficina Valenciana para la Sociedad de la Información, Spain), the Fundación Comunidad Valenciana-Región Europea (Spain), Telefónica I+D (Spain), The European Training Centre for Social Affairs and Public Health-European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA-CEFASS, Italy), Kelidòn Association (Italy) and Walsall Deaf People’s Centre (United Kingdom).
