Dissemination workshop on `Innovation & Socio-economic research for SMEs`

The dissemination workshop entitled "Innovation and Socio-economic research for SMEs: experiences and future initiatives" will take place in Brussels (Belgium) on December 17th, 2007.

The aim of the workshop is threefold: (i) to share experiences from ETI projects (EU-funded actions supporting enhanced SME participation in EU research, (ii) to demonstrate the value that socio-economic research can have to SMEs and (iii) to initiate future projects that will support participation of SMEs in EU-funded research.

tel. +30-2310-411-191PLATON (www.platonproject.net) is a pioneering EU-funded project, which aims to demonstrate the importance that research in Socio-economic Sciences and Humanities (SSH) can have in the strategic decision-making and in the long-term competitiveness of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs). The project helps SMEs and SME groupings (e.g. SME associations, Chambers, etc.) to participate in EU-funded research projects in the areas of SSH under FP6 (targeted priorities: CITIZENS, Science & Society, Support to Policies) and, subsequently, under FP7, Priority 8, SSH.
