Competitive and strategic intelligence
The first workshop will be entitled "Managing in a world of fuzzy intelligence: Good strategy decisions from data, assumptions and conjecture". The aim will be provide participants with the opportunity to learn about the following:
- Avoiding pitfalls in collecting and interpreting conventional data and analysis;
- Collecting useful strategic intelligence;
- Applying strategic intelligence to competitive strategy decisions in interactive exercises;
- Using scenario visualisation to explore the different futures your business may face;
- Using competitive intelligence efforts to monitor the progress of strategies and to support contingency planning.
The second workshop entitled "Business blindspots: fighting competitive sclerosis" will provide participants with the opportunity to learn how to:
- Predict industry's evolution path;
- Understand the behaviour of competitors;
- Predict significant competitive market moves;
- Pinpoint vulnerabilities in competitors;
- Knowing the importance of information;
- Identify sources of critical change in the market;
- Create pro-active intelligence for pre-emptive strategic moves.
