Training Course 'The Fundamentals of International Project Management'

Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe's training centre (FTU) offers a training course on The Fundamentals of International Project Management in Karlsruhe, Germany, on 25-26 February 2008.

International project management skills are basic skills for all people involved in international projects. The course is based on the international long-term experience of the trainer, Prof Dr Madauss. He delivers the theoretical background, management tools as well as specific skills, and tells you how to cope with changes or problems that may occur once a project has started. All course topics are illustrated with successful international projects.

This course provides the knowledge and tools project managers and project staff need to know in order to run their projects efficiently. Participants will have the opportunity to focus on their own projects.

The following topics will be covered:
• Environment of International Project Management
• Organisation of International Projects
• International Project Management Office
• Project Life Cycle and Management Decisions
• Project Management & Control
• Workshop Sessions

The course is designed for research managers, administrators, scientists and engineers in charge of projects in research institutions, universities, public organisations, and private industry companies.
