MINAM launch and brokerage 2008 - for Micro and Nano Technology Industries in Europe

The official launch of MINAM will take place in Brussels on January 23, DIAMANT Building, Blvd. A. Reyerslaan 80, where SMEs, large companies and research institutes interested in the activities of the platform are invited to participate.

11 December 2007
Austria
With a primary objective to enhance European industrial competitiveness, MINAM aims to address manufacturing technologies in the areas micro components, nano based materials, system integration and strategic research. MINAM will be launched with the support of the European Commission under the umbrella of ManuFuture, the platform on assuring the Future of Manufacturing in Europe.

The launch event will be followed by a brokerage and information event on January 24, 2008. It is aimed at companies, research institutes and universities wishing to understand how the field of micro- and nano-manufacturing is addressed in the EU 7th Framework Program, identify opportunities for research collaboration and proposal submission during the actual 2nd call for proposals of the European NMP Program.

The MINAM event spotlights the enormous competitive potential of micro- and nano-manufacturing technologies, as one of the most innovative fields in Europe. These might well enable the next industrial revolution that could dramatically change the way in which businesses are setup, run and marketed.

Micro- and nano-manufacturing technologies have already enabled progress in IT peripherals, consumer electronics, automotive, medical and life science, telecommunications, industrial production processes, aeronautics and security and household applications. For sensors, actuators and for integration in micro- and macro applications they represent a very fast evolving area with high market potential. Even more than the direct market, they bring a lot of added value to the products they are incorporated into, by adding more functionalities, intelligence, portability and networking capability

Be part of this MINAM Launch, Brokerage and Information Event, January 23-24, 2008. Registration and more information about the event and the MINAM platform is available on http://www.micronanomanufacturing.eu(opens in new window).
