The topics of the two Training Courses on this occasion are:
- Fundamentals of Technology Transfer
- Building and Financing Spinouts.
The Fundamentals of Technology Transfer course aims at people who are recently new in the profession, long enough to have taken on a few cases and who have encountered difficulties and realize that they need to do some training!
The Building and Financing Spinouts course aims at the major routes to commercialisation of university research results, spinout companies. This course has been designed to chart the process from the beginning, when the decision whether to spin out is made, through forming the company and raising capital. This course will examine the entire spinout process in detail and will be of most benefit to those who have already worked in technology transfer for at least six months.
Both courses are limited to a maximum of 40 delegates, based on a first come, first serve basis. This leaves ample room for interaction between participants due to its small and informal setting. The sessions are a mixture of seminar-style talks and small break-out groups to discuss and report back on specific case studies, reflected on by experienced practitioners.
Besides the formal part, the course also has plenty of informal elements giving you the opportunity to meet other delegates and share knowledge.
