Multimedia Systems 1999

The Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers will organise the sixth international conference on multimedia computing and systems to be held in Florence, Italy, from 7 to 11 June 1999. The conference will bring together researchers, developers and practitioners from academia and industry working in multimedia and will be devoted to presenting and exploring scientific and technological advancements and innovations in the field of multimedia.

Topics to be discussed in detail during the conference will be grouped under the following sessions:

- Operating system support;
- Distributed multimedia;
- Human computer interaction;
- Multimedia databases;
- Multimedia tools;
- Multimedia applications.
