European Platform on Micro- and NanoManufacturing MINAM

The European Platform for Micro and Nano Manufacturing (MINAM) will hold its
official launch event on Wed 23rd Jan 2008 in Brussels and, providing an excellent opportunity for companies and research bodies working in this key industrial technology area to understand the benefits to European industry to be delivered through the platform and opportunities to participate in its activities. Following the platform launch, on 24th Jan, a brokerage and information event will take place to which all European companies, research institutes and universities active in leading edge micro and nano manufacturing activities are welcomed. MINAM will present the new strategic research agenda and will support the networking of industry and research. This meeting will enable attendees to:
* Learn about the platform-defined European Strategic Research Agenda for Micro and Nano Manufacturing
* Understand how the field of micro and nano manufacturing is being addressed within the EU 7th Research Framework Program.
* Gather information on industrially related projects newly launched under the EU FP7 and meet with the project partners.
* Identify opportunities for proposal submissions, potential project participation and project partners in the field.
* Gain feedback on critical criteria for successful EU FP7 proposals.
* Learn about funding schemes available to companies to support R&D human resources.
* Get direct access on partner profiles, project ideas and call details via online brokerage
Following the second call of the EU FP7 NMP (Nanosciences, Nanotechnologies,
Materials and New Production Technologies) theme in November 2007, the meeting will provide delegates with an important opportunity to present their profile, share project ideas and identify potential partners within an afternoon brokerage session.
Opportunity will be provided for consultation with Commission representatives and representatives of national contact points to discuss proposal ideas, FP7 calls and proposal preparation.
