Knowledge Transfer: building successful partnership in Torino

The fifth ProTon Europe annual conference, fully dedicated to discuss the benefits of partnership in research and technology transfer, will take place in Turin from the 30th of January to the 1st of February 2008.
In Turin partners will discuss the way to build successful partnerships in Europe.

30 January 2008 - 2 January 2008
Italy
The event’s organization is coordinated by the ProTon Europe network, which is representing knowledge transfer offices, private companies linked to the universities and public research centers across Europe, in cooperation with COREP, Consorzio per la Ricerca e l’Educazione Permanente and Netval, the Italian association of Knowledge Transfer Offices.

Knowledge transfer is a key issue for companies as well as for research centers and universities and strategic partnerships among them can represent a real added value when developing new products and services.
Very often successful partnerships born from a first date and become a marriage in a short time. What are the secrets of a lasting relation? How to create and to develop it? The conference wants to provide an answer to these questions as well as analyze other relevant related issues.
The programme will also cover another topic of common interest in Europe: the European Institute of Technology and Innovation (EIT). The conference will be an opportunity to better understand what the EIT will look like when functioning.

Speakers will introduce successful experiences of knowledge share and transfer, not only from the EU point of view but also from the USA one and from a Chinese perspective. They will represent small companies and multinationals, universities and research centers, local authorities and development agencies, contributing to the three days sessions from various back grounds.

Torino has mobilized huge resources to make the conference a successful event and several partners are supporting the organizers, among them the City and the Province of Turin, the Turin Chamber of Commerce, NANOMAT and SISA projects and ILO Piemonte.
