GRIFS organises Open Meeting to discuss RFID Standards

At this Open Meeting, the first report of the GRIFS project will be presented and discussed. The draft report will contain an inventory/state of the art on the development and implementation of RFID standards, on a global scale, identifying the standards bodies the geographical and technical scope of the work as well as opportunities of collaboration.

During the GRIFS Open Meeting to be organised on 18 June 2008 in Brussels, the first report of the GRIFS project will be presented and discussed. The draft report will contain an inventory/state of the art on the development and implementation of RFID standards, on a global scale, identifying the standards bodies the geographical and technical scope of the work as well as opportunities of collaboration.

At the Open Meeting, we invite discussion and comments on the draft report from any interested stakeholder. Relevant comments and further developments on the standards will be taken into account in the final report, which will be available in September 2008.

This Open meeting is the first of a series of workshops that will be organised by GRIFS in Europe, Asia and USA during the next year.
