Resource Efficiency KTN and WARMNET Annual Conference

The overall theme for the event is decoupling economic growth from environmental impact in products and processes; addressing the unsustainable use of resources and breaking the link between economic growth, the waste of resources and adverse environmental impact. The conference, incorporating Tackling Waste 2008, will cover novel approaches emerging from the academic and research knowledge base and the industrial application of innovative technology.
Sections of the programme will be parallel streamed to allow delegates to prioritise themes closest to their own interests, and participate in more interactive formats as well as plenary sessions. Both days will feature crossover presentations reviewing key academic and industrial priorities, with part of the programme on both days being webcast live to an additional internet audience.
The programme for the event will include senior speakers from the following organisations:
* United Nations Environment Programme
* European Commission, Environment Directorate-General o Technology Strategy Board
* DIUS
* BERR
* EPSRC
as well as a series of presentations by industrial and academic speakers demonstrating the latest innovations and research findings.
Both days will feature poster and exhibition sessions, providing plenty of opportunity to interact with other delegates.
