Ambient Assisted Living Policy Workshop

The goal of this workshop is to create a comprehensive vision of the R&D and policy needs for ambient assisted living technologies and to suggest strategies that may serve as a roadmap for industry, service providers, academia and policy makers. An intensive exchange of ideas shall support the building of a AAL community that may gather as project consortia in the future.

The workshop will consist of keynote speeches and four consecutive round table discussions, each opened by dedicated impulse speakers:

- Older people at home
- Aging in Society
- Aging at Work
- AAL Community building

Experts are asked to prepare short statements on different aspects of ambient assisted living technology trends in the different user domains, social-institutional aspects and R&D support and AAL community building.

In order to ensure a high intensity of discussion, participation in this workshop will be limited to a total of about 80 persons.
