European Technology Platform MINAM at MiNAT Fair

At 2008 MiNAT- the international trade fair for precision mechanics and ultra-precision, micro- and nanotechnologies-partners from industry and research will present current research results at a joint booth during the MiNaT trade fair. Current activities of MINAM, the European Technology Platform for Micro- and NanoManufacturing and the results of national joint research projects in the field of “Production Research for Micro- and Nanotechnologies” funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) will be presented. Industrial members of MINAM like MBN Nanomaterialia SpA, Italy; PROFACTOR, Austria and efm-systems GmbH, Germany will present their expertise, typical products as well as their involvement in MINAM. Support of the MINAM industrial community in Europe under the accompanying EC projects IPMMAN and 4M will be highlighted. Another focus will be on new functionalities of the MINAM web platform, such as the new survey function as well as brokerage activities. Parallel to MiNaT representatives from industry and science and visitors will meet at the MiNaT Hot Spots to discuss new trends in micro- and nanotechnology. On Tuesday, 7th of October 2008, an industrial session will be organised with well-known European experts from industry and research by MINAM. Companies like FIAT and Bosch in the automotive industry sector, MBN Nanomaterialia SpA, IonBond Ltd, and BASF SE from nanotechnologies, and ASM Assembly Products and Carl Zeiss AG in the field of microtechnologies will discuss current trends of their work. Fraunhofer-IPA will introduce MINAM and Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe GmbH will present an overview of future activities. The complete programme comprises more than 80 presentations.
