ESTOOLS Winter School on human embryonic stem and induced pluripotent cells
Saariselka – Finland, January 26th-30th 2009.
ESTOOLS, a European Commission funded consortium under the FP6 programme, gathers the cutting edge expertise from the European Research Area on human embryonic stem (hES) and induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells.
Since a year, and Yamanaka’s discovery of iPS cell derivation, the whole field is booming, but only very few scientists gather enough hES experience to make the best of the new opportunities.
ESTOOLS, dedicated to disseminate knowledge across the international scientific community, is setting up a top-level winterschool to offer a
chance to a limited amount of participants (30 places only are open to non-ESTOOLS scientists) to have a full update on latest techniques and
developments. This will take place from the 26th to the 30th of January 2009, in Saariselka (Finnish Lapland).
Applications will be closed on the 31st October 2008.Please find out the programme (and its prestigious speakers), the registration and other venue details at: http://www.estools.eu/estools/events/Winter-School-2009(opens in new window)
