Phydades partners will offer opportunity to join the “On-job training” for laboratory personnel. Romania is destined to be an important actor in biomass sector. Technicians who want to be educated in the use of standardised analysis methods will be working for a few weeks or months in one of the laboratories of a Phydades partner. These institutions are primarily national laboratories, universities and private organisations.
The scope of the training is to create a diffuse knowledge in “standardized analysis methods for biofuels” among European countries, using the experience and skills of important scientific centers and laboratories. The training period is 2 weeks in the year 2008.

Objectives and the scope of the workshop are:
1 ) To present the CEN methods for solid biofuels. CEN pre-standards are now upgraded to EN-standards and market actors have a good possibility to influence the content of the standards and also to hear about the use of these standards in solid biofuel trade.
2) To present the database of biomass fuel properties. The Database helps to find analysed information on different types of solid biofuels.
3) To find candidates for On Job Training: Training is to be held in laboratories. The scope of this action is the laboratory standardisation of analysis methods among Europe. Free of charge!!
