Hydra V: European Summer School -- Extended Deadline --

Europe's leading summer school on Stem Cells & Regenerative Medicine

This summer school will provide a critical analysis of contemporary issues in stem cell biology through an intensive programme of workshops, discussions and lectures.

During this in-depth summer school, participants will attend lectures and workshops on:

• The biology of stem cells - embryonic, fetal and adult systems
• Plasticity, epigenetic regulation, signaling and nichei
• Clinical applications and clinical trials
• Ethics and patents in stem cell research

ADDITIONAL SPECIALIST WORKSHOPS (26-27 September 2009)
This year's summer school will be immediately followed by two new specialist workshops:

• NeuroStemcell workshop on stem cells and neurodegenerative diseases
• OptiStem workshop on stem cells and degenerative epithelial and muscle diseases

These two-day workshops will be held at the same Hydra venue as the summer school. More details will be posted on the Hydra website as soon as they become available.

WHO CAN APPLY?
The summer school is open to postgraduate research students, postdoctoral researchers, senior researchers, clinical training fellows and technicians from universities, research institutes and industry, working in stem cell biology or related fields.
