Conference on Science for Development : STOA –IRD

In cooperation with the STOA (Science and Technology Options Assessment Committee, European Parliament) and the IRD (French Institute of Scientific Research for Development), a conference will be held at the European Parliament in Brussels on 4th March 2009, room PHS 03C050.
The STOA acting in partnership with the IRD organizes a Conference of high-level debates on the European Strategies (European Union, its Commission and Member States) to support Scientific cooperation with developing countries. Science Technology and Innovation play a crucial role to achieve sustainable development and to fight against the poverty. This conference aims to analyse the EU’s partnerships with developing countries and to see how these partnerships could be improved.
