The 4th Annual European Spectrum Management Conference - 15-17 June, Brussels

Now in its 4th year, the European Spectrum Management Conference is established as the must-attend event of the year for anybody involved in spectrum policy in both Europe and beyond, with last year's conference attracting more than 250 high level participants.

15 June 2009 - 17 June 2009
Austria
With the issue of spectrum management featuring so highly in the Commission's proposals for the review of the EU Telecom's Framework that was adopted in November 2007, much of the debate that has taken place in the area in the months since then has been directly linked to these proposals. With the negotiations over the package now approaching the final round however and the proposals widely expected to be approved by Parliament in Spring 2009, it is time to look forward, and to focus on the future of spectrum strategy in Europe, and ensuring the efficient and flexible management of this natural resource which is so crucial for the development of broadband and ICT, and to the overall well-being of people and economies throughout Europe and beyond.

Bringing together more than 30 top level speakers this high-level event will do exactly that, with sessions focussing on:

- Spectrum Strategy - where next for Europe?
- Developing a European approach for wireless broadband access
- Ensuring a more efficient use of public sector spectrum
- Maximising the social & economic value of the Digital Dividend
- The use of licence exempt devices in whitespace
- Managing ‘refarming’ to ensure preservation of spectrum value for all users
- How successful has the implementation of secondary market spectrum trading been since its introduction in Europe?
- Implementing a framework & instruments for flexible and efficient spectrum licensing & allocation

The format of this event has been specifically designed to be highly interactive, with a large emphasis afforded to discussion based sessions and opportunities for audience participation. This is your chance to be part of the debate, and discuss the issues that are important to your business with many of the top policy and decision makers and in Europe. For more information, please contact Dan Craft on dcraft@epsilonevents.com or visit www.spectrummanagement.eu
