Information day on renewable energy to be held in Germany

An information day concerning the current calls for proposals from the European Commission within the area of renewable energy will be held in Böblingen, Germany on 26 February 1999. This information day will be of interest to companies planning innovative developments in the area of renewable energy during the next few years as well as to research institutes within the same field.
The participants will receive information about the new developments in the Fifth Framework Programme for research and development, for which the first calls are due to be announced in the beginning of 1999. Over 1 billion euro are available for projects in the field of renewable energy in the Fifth Framework Programme.
Representatives from the Commission and the National Contact Point will be present to give an overview of the calls of proposals and to answer questions.
The Information Day is held as a part of the trade fair "Renewable Energy '99", at which exhibitors from Austria, Switzerland and Germany will present their products and services in the areas of solar, wind, photovoltaic, biogass, water power and rational energy.
