Crossing Borders: Socio-economic Sciences and Humanities – NET4SOCIETY and PLATON+ at “Research Connection 2009” Conference
NET4SOCIETY and PLATON+ will join forces in order to bring forward an issue that is high on the agenda of the European Research Area – interdisciplinary orientation of research activities. Specifically, the two projects wish to raise awareness about research potential and research findings in the fields of social sciences and humanities among researchers from other fields, policy makers as well as the business community and NGOs.
At “Research Connection 2009” in Prague, visitors are invited to tell us about their interfaces with socio-economic research and questions in their work and to use the presence of both projects for exchanging ideas and perspectives on fruitful interdisciplinary cooperation and use of socio-economic knowledge.
At the booth, visitors will also be provided with information (policy briefs and working papers about different social key issues) from ongoing and recently finished EU-projects.
FP6 and FP7 projects from socio-economics and humanities interested in disseminating their publications at our booth are invited to get in contact with the coordinator of PLATON+, Mr. Iakovos Delioglanis (delioglanis (at) qplan.gr).
“Crossing Borders” is booth 23 at Research Connection 2009 (http://ec.europa.eu/research/conferences/2009/rtd-2009/index_en.cfm(opens in new window)) .
