The 7th Framework Programme emphasizes the relevance that should be paid on the dissemination of projects outputs and highlights that a research is as important as its communication.

the workshop "Bring research to the media: hints and tips from successful projects” will focus on communication and dissemination aspects related to research and provide researchers with proper and effective guidelines for the execution of communication and dissemination actions within the projects, from the starting month until the end of the project.

The workshop will be structured in two parts. The first one will bring together both the researcher’s and the journalist’s experiences and points of view on communication issues and the difficulties/successful cases European projects face in getting media attention.

The second part is devoted to the experience of professionals in communicating European projects showing examples and suggesting practical solutions to overcome these difficulties. Four projects with different successful communication strategies and guidelines for planning an accurate communication and dissemination strategy while writing a project proposal will be presented and provided.

The workshop is organised by Minerva Consulting & Communication (Belgium), the communication partner in several EU projects, and benefits from the participation of the European Journalism Centre (The Netherlands), an independent international journalist network and the Czech Geological Survey, coordinator of Co2net East project.
