ESF Research Conferences - call for proposals

The European Science Foundation invites proposals for topics for its 2011 Research Conferences.

Proposals must cover one of the following domains:
• Molecular Biology+ (up to 5 conferences to take place in 2011): molecular biology at the interface with other science disciplines
• Brain, Technology and Cognition (1 conference to take place in 2011): the 2011 conference will focus on "Action" so proposals should cover one (or more) of the following: perception, motivation, control, decision making, planning, intention, other cognitive abilities and phenomena such as imitation.
• Mathematics (up to 6 conferences to take place in 2011)
• Physics/Biophysics and Environmental Sciences (up to 5 conferences to take place in 2011)
• Social Sciences and Humanities (up to 4 conferences to take place in 2011)

The call is addressed to leading European scientists interested to chair an ESF Research Conference.
Scientists with successful proposals will become conference chairs and will be in charge of the conference programme and scientific quality.
ESF will provide full organisational and logistical support.
