CRIMPREV, an SSH project funded by the 6th Research Framework Programme, is organising its final conference

The FP6 funded CRIMPREV project, (Assessing Deviance, Crime and Prevention in Europe) organises its final conference, to take place on the 17-19 June 2009 at the Open University, in Milton Keynes (UK).

17 June 2009 - 19 June 2009
Austria
During its 36 months of activity, the project has aimed at producing comparative and European added value knowledge about social, political, economic, legal and cultural factors conducive to socially deviant behaviour and crime, their perception among the public and the policies related to these phenomena. The work has been conducted by a wide consortium, composed of 30 partners from at least 10 different Member States, based on three existing networks (GERN, IAHCCJ, EFUS).

The final conference will be dedicated to "Deviance, Crime and Prevention in a Punitive Age" and will provide a summary of the work carried out by the partners of the consortium, as well as a roundtable with policy-makers from National and European Institutions where to discuss about main challenges for crime prevention strategies and their evaluation across European countries.

Live broadcasting will be available. For more information, please see program and information details under: http://www.crimprev.eu(opens in new window)
