ASTP/Praxis training courses, 8 -10 September 2009 - Mallorca, Spain

The Association of European Science and Technology Transfer Professionals proudly announces its second training course round of this year, offered in collaboration with Praxis, the Technology Transfer programme in the UK.

The Training Courses will be held in Mallorca, Spain from 8 – 10 of September 2009.

We offer again the Fundamentals of Technology Transfer for the juniors in the field, and a new senior course on Research & Development Collaborations.

8 September 2008 - 10 September 2009
Austria
The Fundamentals course aims at people who are recently new in the profession (for between six months and two years) - long enough to have taken on a few cases, have encountered difficulties and have realized that they need to do some training! This three-day programme covers most that a technology transfer needs to know and be able to do.

The purpose of the R & D Collaborations course is to identify the most important elements of a research collaboration, to identify those issues that regularly divide the parties and to discuss these from the perspective of academic, university and company. Armed with this understanding we can then discuss solutions to the most common impasses in collaborative agreements – the positions that it is reasonable for a university to take and those (like publication and liability) that it must insist upon. This advanced course requires a minimum of 2 years of experience within the field.

Both courses allow a maximum group size of 40 delegates. It is advisable to sign up for these courses as soon as possible in order to guarantee your participation! If you would like to register for one of the courses, please visit our online webshop http://webshop.astp.net(opens in new window).

Please visit our website www.astp.net for an overview of the programme, logistical information, reduction offers, and registration.
