Public Debate on The Gender Dimension of Job Quality

In the framework of dissemination activities of the European Network of Excellence on Reconciling Work and Welfare (RECWOWE), the Observatoire Social Européen is organising a public debate on "the Gender Dimension of Job Quality".

30 September 2009
Austria
The topic will be presented by Colette Fagan, Professor of Sociology and Co-Director of the European Work and Employment Research Centre, University of Manchester, and this presentation will be discussed by Maria Jepsen, Head of Research Department, European Trade Union Institute.

This initiative is organised in the framework of RECWOWE (Reconciling Work and Welfare Network of Excellence - an SSH project supported by the 6th Research Framework Programme). Our objective is to develop an ongoing and structured dialogue between the research community, policy-makers in charge of labour market and welfare policies, as well as social partners, NGOs and practitioners. Regularly, scholars undertaking innovate research will present their findings in Brussels to foster an open debate on key social challenges.

This event is organised in collaboration with the Federal Public Service Social Security and the Observatoire Social Européen.

Venue: Date and place: 30 September 2009, 12h30-15h00
