BIO-NET/FP7 KBBE Brokerage Event 2010 in Lisbon, Portugal

The main aim of this event is to bring together all stakeholders in the KBBE theme and build networks. In accordance with this aim, the event will provide an opportunity for participants to meet potential international/local partners and foster R&D collaboration under the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) Food, Agriculture and Fisheries, and Biotechnology Call 2010. Another aim is to assist enterprises, universities and research institutions in finding partners for product development, manufacturing, licensing agreements, joint ventures or other types of partnership.
In the morning session, representatives of European Commission and European Technology Platforms will inform the attendees about funding opportunities under FP7. In addition, contents of the 2010 KBBE Call will be explained, tips on writing a successful proposal and different experiences will be shared. In the afternoon session, participants will have an opportunity to share project ideas, exchange information in relation with the call and find potential partners for collaboration for different kind of business relationships /partnerships through bilateral meetings.
FP7 KBBE Theme Brokerage Event 2010 is open to universities, public bodies and industry representatives, regional networks and the other stakeholders of this field. Please, note that a special conference fee for non-profit organizations participating in this Brokerage Event is available upon request to EFIB 2009's organisation (Caroline Potapa, +44 (0)1372 802101; caroline.potapa@pira-international.com). Participation to the FP7 KBBE Brokerage Event is free of charge. In order to organise the bilateral meetings and to present a project idea (if applicable), we highly recommend the participants to register themselves by 1st of October 2009 the latest.
