Organized by the University of Zagreb (Croatia) and the Instituto Superior Técnico from Lisbon (Portugal), the 5th Dubrovnik Conference on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems (SDEWES) will take place from 29th September – 3rd October 2009 at the University of Dubrovnik, Croatia.
This conference is dedicated to the improvement and dissemination of knowledge on methods, policies and technologies for increasing the sustainability of development, taking into account its economic, environmental and social pillars, as well as methods for assessing and measuring sustainability of development, regarding energy, transport, water and environment systems and their many combinations. The different conference sessions about sustainability topics reflect the leading edge of the scientific debate in the respective policy fields.
