SIROCCO training course 21-24 September

SIROCCO training course on sample preparation for high throughput sequencing

21 September 2009 - 24 September 2009
Austria
A four-day course on cloning small RNAs for sequencing is being held in Cambridge UK for members of the SIROCCO consortium. SIROCCO is a four-year Integrated Project funded by the European Commission under the Sixth Framework Programme. Next-generation high throughput sequencing has had a dramatic impact on sRNA research and the sort of biological questions that can be asked. This course will cover all aspects of sample preparation for sequencing including quality control and quantification and will include two days of hands-on laboratory training. There will be a session on bioinformatics detailing the analysis strategies involved in handling large datasets. Senior members of the consortium will also share their experiences of cloning and sequencing small RNA populations. The course is limited to members of the SIROCCO consortium and is now fully booked. For more information on SIROCCO, visit the project website www.sirocco-project.euSIROCCO "Silencing RNAs: organisers and coordintors of complexity in eukaryotic organisms" LSHG-CT-2006-037900 is an Integrated Project funded by the European Commission under the Sixth Framework Programme.
