Paris Region Innovation Tour 2009 Nov 30th

An annual event dedicated to EU clusters and their Members.

30 November 2009 - 30 November 2009

This annual cross clustering event is jointly organised by the 7 major regional clusters (‘pôles de compétitivité’) of the Ile-de-France Region. It is dedicated to innovation policy-makers but also and above all to clusters and their members (SMEs, private groups, public labs) and it consists of a series of conferences, workshops, exhibitions, business meetings and social moments with the objective to offer participants an opportunity to meet and establish a dialogue to exchange good practices, discuss business opportunities and potential future R&D collaborations under EU research & innovation programmes.

…with a strong EU & International dimension. The organisers set a target of 30% of EU and international participants with an important presence of European partners and decision-makers. During the 2008 edition, several clusters signed partnership agreements with clusters from different EU Member States and the European Commission was very well represented through the participation of Commissioner Hübner and members of the administration as well. Also, last year’s edition was given the label of the ‘French Presidency of the EU’.

A focus on 5 major R&D fields. This year’s event will focus on R+I in ICT & Digital life / Mobility & transports / City & environment / Health / Finance. There will be an exhibition to present the IDF Paris region clusters innovative projects which will focus on these five domains.

Interestingly enough, we also give the opportunity to a limited number of clusters from abroad to have a stand on the exhibition.

It is also possible for participants to present their cluster during the ‘Talk & Walk’ session. To express their interest, clusters should visit the ‘Call for Papers’ section on PRIT 2009 website.

For any cluster specialised in the areas of R&D, the entrance to the event will be for free. If they come with there members (SMEs, large companies, research labs...) the entrance will be free for these SMEs too.

More than 70 European & international clusters, pôles de compétitivité, have already confirmed their participation. There will be a networking reception especially organised for EU and international participants on November 29th in the evening.
