New date for the 2010 Euro-Africa Cooperation Forum on ICT Research

The 2010 Euro-Africa Cooperation Forum on ICT Research Learning & Reflecting on ICT Collaborative Research & Development - Projecting the Future of ICT Research in Africa will take place on February 3, 2010, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia at the United Nations Conference Centre.

3 February 2009 - 3 February 2009
Angola

This event – co-located with the “African Union 2010 Summit and ICT Exhibition” (Jan. 29 - Feb. 2 / Hence the change in date) - is organised by the EuroAfrica-ICT FP7 project under the aegis of the African Union Commission (AUC) and the European Commission (EC) under the ICT theme of its FP7 (7th Programme for Research and Development).

This event - a follow-up of the highly successful Forum held in Brussels, Belgium in March 2009 - aims at promoting and supporting the development of S&T Euro-Africa cooperation on ICT between sub-Saharan Africa and Europe.

Over 200 delegates are expected to attend this 1-day Forum, among them, ICT experts, policy and decision makers, heads of stakeholder institutions and international organisations, academia from sub-Saharan Africa and Europe, together with high-level representatives from the AUC and the EC.

Register now! Due to room capacity constraints seats will be offered on a “first come - first served” basis...

You can also decide to sponsor the event -- collected funds will help the Forum organisers to ensure a larger participation of high-level delegates from sub-Saharan Africa and the Caribbean (by offering them mobility grants covering part of their travel and subsistence expenses).
