The eighth Iberoamerican Technology Management Seminar, ALTEC 99, will be held in Valencia, Spain, between 27 and 29 October 1999. The seminar's target is to display the latest Latin American tendencies, thinking and experiences in innovation and technological management to open up dialogues on technological development in the new millennium.

The event will focus on aspects of research and development that have been identified as important for future research, under the European Commission's Fifth Framework Programme. It is intended to be of interest to anyone involved in analyzing, managing, promoting and disseminating innovation and technology.

Participants will be able to discuss topics in the key areas of policies for technological innovation and management, education in technological innovation, and innovation and society.

The event is being organized by the Association for Latin-American Technological Management (ALTEC), the Scientific Research Main Board in Spain (CSIC), and the University Polytechnic of Valencia (UPV).
