FP5 launch attracts over 2000 delegates

The two-day conference to launch the European Union's Fifth Framework Programme (FP5) on research, technological development and demonstration at Essen, Germany, on 25 and 26 Febrary 1999 is expected to attract over 2000 delegates, including FP5 participants, information multipliers, policy-makers and users of research.
The exhibition, which will cover over 2000 square metres, will present the activities of all the FP5 programmes, as well as a sample of predecessor programmes.
