SHARE project: on-line events organized by the SHARE SIGs!

The SHARE Consortium is pleased to announce two SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPs (SIGs) ONLINE EVENTS: on 16 February "Mission Critical and Near Real Time" and on 17 February "eHealth"

16 February 2010 - 18 February 2010

SHARE is a project (co-funded by the European Commission FP7) with the aim to facilitate open source software code sharing and utilisation within the embedded system domain.

In the context of the special interest group about the "Mission Critical
and Near Real Time" area two on-line events will be organized with the goal to connect people and to give them the chance to discuss about interesting issues.

The events consist in a presentation from a speaker that is involved in activities centred on Mission Critical and Near Real Time issues, and in a discussion session during which participants have the chance to ask questions to the speaker.

The main speech of the first event will be performed by Alexander Hill from Critical Software. Alex will have a presentation entitled "Critical Software Technologies - Open Embedded & Beyond", during which he will talk about the Critical's role in the Embedded Systems industry, and about how Open Software affects this and other fields that Critical operates in.

Regarding the second event, "Emerging Free Software market in Developing Countries" the speaker is Susana Muñoz Hernandez from the TEDECO (Technology for Development and Cooperation) group of Universidad Politecnica de Madrid.
Free software companies employ a business model that provides new opportunities in markets where proprietary software is unfeasible. In this presentation there are discussed interesting opportunities arising for these companies: software needs in developing countries.
