Innovative solutions for energy efficiency in Europe, India and US

This workshop is focused on the impact of the energy efficiency (ICT4EE) information technologies in real-life application and on the steps needed to integrate and/or implement them. The research and development in energy efficiency field is running fast but the biggest part of current ICT4EE solutions still have to climb several difficulties to be applied in real-life condition in the short term.
The event aims to present, with the attending people, ICT4EE best practices that could have an impact on our life in the short-term period and to explain how to bring these technologies to the market. Moreover, the speakers will present the methodologies used in the GENESYS project for scouting innovative technologies to be exploited in international wide arena such as Europe, India and U.S. (attending people are warmly requested to provide information about their ideas and developed prototypes).
As parallel focus-point, the workshop will be also an occasion to present the REViSITE project “Roadmap Enabling Vision and Strategy for ICT-enabled Energy Efficiency” a Coordination Action funded by the EC – ICT for Sustainable Growth Unit, starting in the beginning of 2010.
REViSITE aims to contribute to the formation of a European multidisciplinary 'ICT for energy-efficiency' research community by bringing together the ICT community and 4 important and complementary application sectors: grids, building/construction, manufacturing and lighting.
Projects’ coordinators and field industries are invited to have a first contact during the event and understand how to be engaged with REViSITE and become part of the REViSITE Community, how it works and what we expect from them.
