'The European Framework Programmes: From Economic Recovery to Sustainability' conference Valencia, Spain

The Spanish Presidency of the European Union, the European Commission, and the Regional Government of Valencia organize the Conference “The European Framework Programmes: From Economic Recovery to Sustainability” that takes place in Valencia on 13-14 April 2010.

As part of the European Economic Recovery Plan three Public Private Partnerships, Factories of the Future (FoF), Energy-efficient buildings (EeB) and European Green Cars Initiative (GC), have been set up. At the conference a new Public Private Partnership on Future Internet (FI) will be launched.

As a major Spanish EU Presidency event, the conference will bring together high-level stakeholders from the different PPPs and will give an overview of the latest developments of each PPP and will look forward to their future.

The Conference will be the core of the “FP7: European Innovation and RTD Transforming sectors’ week". The numerous side events within the week include meetings of the European Technology Platform NESSI, CELTIC, 5th Future Internet Assembly (FIA) on 15-16 April and many other co-located events organized together with the European Commission. The conference and its side events will allow for effective networking and building future stakeholder communities.
