Conference on Multilingualism and Linguistic Diversity in Europe – LINEE Final Conference

For almost four years, the research project LINEE has been investigating multilingualism and linguistic diversity in Europe. The final conference of this project aims to spread research results and their policy implications to the scientific community, to policy-makers, the general public and the media.

11 April 2010 - 15 April 2010
Croatia
The conference takes place from 11 to 15 April 2010 in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

The participants of the conference are members of LINEE as well as other researchers in the field of multilingualism.

Both the research of LINEE and the conference address four thematic areas:
Language, Identity and Culture
Language Policy and Planning
Multilingualism and Education
Language and Economy

LINEE is funded under the 6th Framework Programme (FP6) of the European Commission.
It has involved more than 100 researchers from 11 universities, who conduct research in 15 European countries. All of them have collected and analyzed data on a European, national and regional level. The conference is therefore able to offer multiple perspectives on multilingualism in Europe.
