FP7 Financial Management workshop - The Essentials

The workshop is designed to give participants the essentials of how to manage the finances of an FP7 project successfully.

31 March 2010 - 31 March 2010
Belgium
The Commission’s intention to audit a significantly larger number of FP7 projects, is placing a greater emphasis on the need to both understand the rules and to implement sound financial practices.

This course is designed to bring participants up to-date with recent changes and developments in the financial management of FP7 projects and to highlight and give examples of good management practice. As well as covering all the essential areas, including in-depth consideration of eligible costs, the indirect cost models and the financial reporting mechanisms, the course contains a group exercise in order to assist the learning process and to encourage discussion amongst the participants.

This one day workshop is intended to be of assistance to organisations currently running or intending to run FP7 projects. It will be of interest to project managers, accountants, researchers and financial officers.

The briefing will be led by John Stringer, a UK Barrister and Simon Walker an experienced R&D funding professional. Both speakers have extensive experience of FP7 projects and are currently advisers to a number of key R&D Networks.

Venue: CENELEC Conference Centre Brussels. Full details will be sent after your registration.

Fees: 300 euro (including materials, buffet/sandwich lunch and refreshments, excluding VAT which has to be charged for all delegates). Numbers are strictly limited, so you are encouraged to book early.
